After finding fame with boyband The Wanted, singer Nathan Sykes is currently embarking on a successful solo career. After touring the UK and performing at countless events across the world, Nathan released his album ‘Unfinished Business’ in November 2016 to a spectacular reception. There is no denying that Nathan is thankful for his fans’ support, so we took to Twitter to ask update account @NJSykesMusic what it’s like to support him.
1.Can you briefly introduce yourself? State your name, age and roughly where you are from?
We stay anonymous as we prefer the account’s sole purpose be to promote Nathan Sykes and inform his fans. But we are all based in America.
2. Can you explain when and how you first became a fan of Nathan?
We all became fans of Nathan when he was a member of The Wanted, a group we were all big fans of. When Nathan began his solo career, we were definitely excited. When we heard the direction his music was going, we were even more excited!
3. Why are you a fan of Nathan?
There are lots of reasons, first of them being that he is extremly talented! We admire that he writes his own music and that his music is relatable. He’s a great performer who puts on a great show every single time and, something that we love a lot about him, he is super amazing to his fans!
4. What made you want to run an update account?
We wanted to run an update account because we really believe in Nathan and we wanted to spread his talent with as many people as possible.
5. Roughly how much time to you spend running your account?
We put a good amount of time into the account. We run an instagram account under the same handle too, but it’s something fun and something shared amongst several people.
6. Do you have anyone who runs the account for you if for some reason you are away?
No, we are the only ones that run this account. Because there’s more than 1 person running it and we all have different schedules, someone is always on, usually.
7. How many followers do you currently have and do they talk to you/ask you things often?
We proudly have over 100,000 followers on our twitter account right now! We try to answer as many questions as we can.
8. Do you prefer to just write updates (keeping it writing/informative based) or post pictures on your account?
We love mixing it up.
9. Would you say that you have met any friends online through your account?
We have become closer as friends because of the account, but we have met a lot of friends online because of our common interest in Nathan’s music.
10. Has Nathan ever noticed your account, and if so, how did it feel?
Yes, he has! It’s a great feeling when the artist you support through an update account notices you.
11. What is your favourite song of Nathan’s?
That’s a hard one to answer. Lol. We all have different favorites, some of them are “There’s Only One of You” his latest single, “Famous”, “Taken”, “Money” and “Over and Over Again”. Heck the entire album is fantastic!
12. What is your favourite thing about him?
That he makes time for his fans whenever he can!
13. If you could say one thing to Nathan then what would it be?
