JACE Carrillo Unveils Passionate Moviendo
Montreal-based singer-songwriter and producer JACE Carrillo recently released his brand-new single/lyric video, “Moviendo.”
Drenched in Latin pop savors, “Moviendo” captures the essence of a tropical romance, transporting listeners to a romantic date on the beach where a couple falls in love. The lyrics describe the chemistry between the two lovers, comparing it to salt and water, a perfect blend that is part of the entire ocean.
After immigrating to Canada from Venezuela, JACE appeared on La Voix (The Voice), gathering a strong following. Since then, he has collaborated with a number of world-renowned producers and musicians, including Luca The Producer, Alyko, Jacob Lacroix-Cardinal, Señor Steve, Dany El Pana, Felipe Tichauer (Red Traxx Mastering), and artists DJ Oscar Olivo, Odreii, and What if Elephants.
Along with more than 600,000 views on YouTube and over 250,000 streams on Spotify, JACE has been included in critical editorial playlists for Latin artists on Spotify such as US Radar, New Music Friday Latin, New Urbano, Latin Pop Rising, and Fresh Finds: Latin.
JACE has been featured on CTV and EVTV Miami, as well as performing at the Canadian Music Week and receiving the Venezuelan Pepsi Music Award for Best Electronic Music Video in 2022.
JACE’s unique sound merges Latin music with traditional American styles, and he is set to release his highly anticipated sophomore album, Phenomena, with the support of the Juried Sound Recording Grant from FACTOR Canada, which began with 2022 R&B/Pop-influenced singles “Desapareces,” and 2023 singles “Taking Off,” “Lunática,” “Equinox,” and “Moviendo.”
“Moviendo” opens on soft, shimmering washes of sound topped by JACE’s creamy, quixotic voice, imbuing the lyrics with tender sensations. A syncopated pop rhythm merges with swaying R&B tones, giving the tune deliciously romantic surfaces.
