Aside from her music career, Justine Skye quickly made a name for herself as one of Kylie Jenner’s best friends, who was often plastered all over the TV star’s social media pages in what appeared to be Jenner’s way of showing fans just how close the former besties were. Who is Justine Skye?
Justine Skye is a 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, New York, who quickly gained the attention of executives at Atlantic Records after several of her songs, posted on Tumblr, had acquired millions of listeners on the social media platform.
By 2016, she left Atlantic to sign a new deal with Roc Nation and Republic Records, where she would go on to release her debut album, Ultraviolet, in January 2018, spanning the singles U Don’t Know, Back for More, and the ever-so-catchy Don’t Think About It.
She released her sophomore project, Bare with Me (The Album) in June 2020.
Though she has yet to find herself a mainstream hit, Skye has worked with some of the biggest artists and producers in the industry, ranging from DJ Mustard, while also having worked with Tyga on her 2014 song Collide.
With a booming music career, Justine quickly found herself making friends with the likes of Kylie and Jordyn Woods when she relocated to Los Angeles to fully focus her attention on her music career.
It was rare not to see her in photos posted on Jenner’s Instagram page at the time. Justine was one of the closest friends to the lip kit mogul, who also shared a close bond with Jordyn Woods at the time.

Though they aren’t considered to be friends anymore, Justine isn’t feuding with Kylie anymore.
The R&B singer sat down for an interview with The Breakfast Club in November 2018 where one of the hosts had brought up rumors that she dated rapper Travis Scott before he got with Jenner.
It was also claimed that Scott ended up calling it quits with Skye so that he could pursue a relationship with the reality star instead, who he would go on to welcome a child with - Stormi Webster - in February 2018.
Skye makes it no secret that she was hurt by the revelation that her then-boyfriend had ditched her for someone she once considered one of her closest friends, but she assured fans that, while it took her some time to get over the heartache, she’s moved on.
“I mean we were friends like back in the day. I mean, like, this is about, like, four years ago I guess and then we weren’t,” the songstress explained.
“Things happened, ya know? We speak – I mean we’re not as close as we once were and that’s probably obvious to the rest of the world. Literally there’s no beef. You grow up and just go in different paths.”
Skye, who was once featured in plenty of ad campaigns for Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics brand, is still known to be good pals with Kendall Jenner, who she is frequently spotted out and about within Los Angeles.
She’s also good friends with Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, and Hailey Bieber, so it makes sense as to why she’s continued to stay in touch with Kendall given that they share the same circle of friends and they’ve never stabbed each other in the back over another man.
