Love Island's Tink Reading Shares Swimsuit Photo Touting "Crew Love" Celebwell

Publish date: 2024-06-15

Love Island star Tink Reading is enjoying the beach while in the middle of London. The reality competitor took part in a beach day-themed party, and she's got the pictures to prove it. Reading shared snaps of herself posing on a bike in a bright coral bikini, complete with black trousers and a small orange handbag. "Crew love 🤘🏽," she captioned the post. "Unreal!" a fan commented. How does Reading stay in shape and manage endless events and appearances? Here are 5 ways she stays fit and full of energy.

Reading loves sushi, especially avocado rolls. Avocados are known for having a wealth of nutrients and healthy fats. "As long as you're paying attention to portion sizes, avocados are great foods to include in your diet," says Julia Zumpano, RD, LD. "If you use avocado to replace other fats, you can enjoy the flavor and nutrients and also cut down on saturated fats."

Reading travels around the world, and enjoys trying new food and cultural experiences. "Trying something new opens up the possibility for you to enjoy something new," says Alex Lickerman, MD. "Entire careers, entire life paths, are carved out by people dipping their baby toes into small ponds and suddenly discovering a love for something they had no idea would capture their imaginations."

One of Reading's favorite meals is tacos made with fresh corn tortillas. Fresh corn is often a better choice than store-bought, depending on the ingredients used. "Corn has many health benefits," says Caitlin Terpstra, RD. "It consists primarily of insoluble fiber, which makes it a low-glycemic index food. This means it is a food that is digested slowly and doesn't cause an unhealthy spike in blood sugar."

Reading enjoys swimming both in the ocean and the pool, an activity that offers both mental and physical benefits. Swimming is also gentle on the joints, experts say. "Swimming is a wonderful sport. I definitely recommend swimming for people of all ages," says Mayo Clinic orthopedic surgeon Dr. Matthew Crowe. "Swimming is easy on the joints, and it's very good for both cardiac health and your core strength. And it also can give you really excellent strength around the shoulders, and hips and knees."

Like her fellow Love Island contestants, Reading was not allowed a phone in the villa—which she actually appreciated. Research shows taking a break from social media can be very beneficial. "If you ignore responsibilities at home or work because of the amount of time you spend online, then consider a digital detox," says psychologist Kia-Rai Prewitt, PhD. "Another red flag is if you're losing interest in being social in person because you'd rather just connect with people online."
